Building and Using Competency Frameworks

Developing an appropriate competency framework is a signal from the business / organisation to its staff of the levels of performance and behaviour that it expects.  This can be hugely beneficial in driving up performance and ensuring people have clarity about expectations.  Competency frameworks are used increasingly for recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management and rewards systems.

The workshop will:

• Look at what competency frameworks are
• Help you to understand how competency frameworks can be used within your business or organisation to support performance improvements (business, team and individual)
• Help you to understand the benefits of using a competency framework and overcome any pitfalls
• Provide you with an indicative framework that can be tailored to suit
• Assist you to identify the next steps in the process

If your business is located in the West of Scotland you may be eligible for a grant of up to 50% of the cost of participating in these courses. There are a number of places available which are reserved for businesses with less than 250 employees and companies must meet certain eligibility criteria.
