Employment legislation protects the interests of you and your staff. Are you up to date with it and do your working practices comply with new and existing legislation? This intensive informative course will give you a practical understanding of current legislation and help you ensure that your procedures comply with requirements. We will also prepare you to deal with:
- The required and recommended contents of their employees’ “Written Statement of Employment Terms”
- Part time/casual/probationary staff and fixed term contracts
- Working Time regulations
- Disciplinary issues without putting your business at risk
- Issues such as intermittent absence and long term sickness

About this workshop
- This workshop will involve you in a mixture of interactive exercises and discussion.

Your Trainer
Catherine is a qualified paralegal in employment law and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. She has almost twenty years of experience of working in a human resources environment and has hands on experience of dealing with a wide range of employment related issues. She is an expert facilitator and delivers her training courses in a practical, easy to understand style.
Support available
If your business is located in the West of Scotland you may be eligible for a grant of up to 50% of the cost of participating in these courses. There are a number of places available which are reserved for businesses with less than 250 employees and companies must meet certain eligibility criteria.
