Facebook for Business
You may have heard that Facebook is the world’s 4th largest ‘country’ in terms of population, with over 400 million active users… but the big numbers mean nothing unless you can get Facebook working for you. With its changing demographic and new maturity, Facebook is much, much more than a social network for college kids and sharing silly photos. Here’s how to use it to market your business to people who want to hear from you.
We’ll show you how to:
- Understand Facebook profiles, groups, pages and networks
- Create a ‘fan page’ for your business
- Promote your business in the right way to the right people
- Share videos and photos
- Keep your network of fans up to date with your activities
- Use events as a call to action
- Leave comments as a marketing strategy
- Invite interaction and collaboration
- Consider Facebook ads

About the Facilitator
Your Trainer
Kyle is a successful serial entrepreneur with a background in journalism and a focus on building brands through social media marketing. In 2005, he founded Scoopt.com, a social network of amateur photographers selling newsworthy photos and videos to the media. This was an innovative, disruptive model that used the power of web 2.0 technologies and network effects to grow a business with zero spend on advertising. Getty Images acquired Scoopt in 2007. Kyle subsequently headed a pioneering social media project for Channel 4. He currently helps companies exploit the social media toolset to reach new audiences in new ways.
