Microsoft Office 2007 – an Overview
If you are considering upgrading your office software, then this course will help you understand the important changes that have been made in updating Microsoft Office 2003 to Microsoft Office 2007. You will gain hands-on experience of the key improvements and be able to explore the how the new package can benefit your work.
Session 1: General Overview
- Ribbons: exploring the new terminology and layout
- General options
- File types
- Compatibility with earlier versions
- Right-click menus
- Keyboard shortcuts
Session 2: Word 2007
- Word ribbons and their functions
- Techniques including tables and charts, inserting pictures and graphics, Mail Merge
Session 3: Excel 2007
- Excel ribbons and their functions
- New sheet dimensions
- Techniques including spreadsheet functions, lists, charts and graphs
Session 4: Outlook 2007
- Outlook ribbons and their functions
- Techniques including shared tools, inserting files and documents, personal settings and signatures
Session 5: PowerPoint 2007
- PowerPoint ribbons and their functions
- Techniques including how to create new slides and templates, inserting text, graphics and links, views and printing functions
ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
- Our trainers are experts in their topic and deliver courses in a practical, interactive style
- The maximum number of people on a training course is 12 so that the trainer can accommodate the learning needs of each delegate
- Each delegate is provided with a laptop and we use the most up to date technology
- A two course buffet lunch and unlimited tea and coffee are included in the price
Timing
Courses start at 9.30 a.m. and end at 4.30 p.m. with half an hour for lunch.

Bob is comfortable supporting people to learn at introductory level and enjoys the challenge of helping people develop their skills at advanced level.

If your business is located in the West of Scotland you may be eligible for a grant of up to 50% of the cost of participating in these courses. There are a number of places available which are reserved for businesses with less than 250 employees and companies must meet certain eligibility criteria.
