Prezi and Presenting

Would you like to make your presentations stand out from all the rest? This one day course gives you two for the price of one!

In the morning you will learn how to use Prezi, the revolutionary presentation software that takes you beyond linear slides and keeps your audience engaged. We show you how to:

• Create a stunning Prezi from scratch
• Add text, images, videos from YouTube and even a PowerPoint presentation
• Zoom and rotate for impact
• Use paths and frames to control your Prezi
• Think in terms of a mind map rather than slides 1,2, 3 etc
• Work online and offline

In the afternoon you will learn techniques for delivering your Prezi presentation confidently and with impact. We show you how to:

• Create your key message
• Look and sound confident when speaking to groups of people
• Adapt your presentation style to compliment your Prezi presentation
• Refresh your content to meet the needs of your audience
• Find new ways to present information
• Handle Q&A sessions to positive effect

Timing
Courses start at 9.30 a.m. and end at 4.30 p.m. with half an hour for lunch.

For those who only want to attend the Prezi session in the morning the session will finish at 12.30 pm.

Chris Connick

Chris Connick is Blether Media's Prezi specialist. Having sat through (and delivered) many dull PowerPoint presentations - title, picture, bullet points, yawn - he immediately saw the benefits of Prezi's radical approach to conveying information in an engaging and visually stunning manner.

Gary

Gary has been specifically involved in learning and development for over 10 years. In this time he has successfully delivered training and managed the L&D function within both the public and private sectors and has in-depth practical knowledge in ways to promote development of people within organisations.

Gary has a very pragmatic but creative approach to training and ensures that the development needs of staff are met through the training he develops and provides. Many of his major achievements are targeted around customer service and people skills, including Sales, Effective Recruitment, Interviewing, Appraisals and Performance Management.

Gary is Certificate in Training Practice qualified and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. He is also Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) trained and has managed large scale training projects UK and European wide.

If your business is located in the West of Scotland you may be eligible for a grant of up to 50% of the cost of participating in these courses. There are a number of places available which are reserved for businesses with less than 250 employees and companies must meet certain eligibility criteria.
