If you have to conduct appraisal interviews, then this one day course will help you devise an interview framework to help you undertake them with maximum competence. Our trainer will enable you to give and receive feedback in a constructive way and acquire the skills to deal with successful and poor performance.
The day will focus on:
- The importance of assessing performance and potential
- What people need to know to give of their best
- The appraisal meeting framework
- Planning and preparing for an appraisal meeting
- The objectives of appraisal both short and long term
- Setting performance objectives and using appraisals to identify key performance criteria
- Effective questioning skills to achieve meaningful two way communication
- Giving and receiving feedback
- Enabling your people to self-assess and shape their own development
- The use of clear behavioural criteria to measure performance
About this workshop
- This workshop will involve you in a mixture of interactive exercises and discussion. There will be opportunities to practise your new skills through role playing exercises in a supportive atmosphere
- Our trainers are experts in their topic and deliver courses in a practical, interactive style
- The maximum number of people on a training course is 12 so that the trainer can accommodate the learning needs of each delegate
- A two course buffet lunch and unlimited tea and coffee are included in the price

Courses start at 9.30 a.m. and end at 4.30 p.m. with half an hour for lunch.

If your business is located in the West of Scotland you may be eligible for a grant of up to 50% of the cost of participating in these courses. There are a number of places available which are reserved for businesses with less than 250 employees and companies must meet certain eligibility criteria.
