Microsoft Word 2003 Introductory
Do you feel that your computer rules you when it should be the other way round? This course will help you get to grips with the basic skills you need to create, edit and print accurate and professional documents on a PC using Microsoft Word 2003.
Our trainer will show you how to:
- Manage basic features such as the office assistant, screen menus, toolbars, and the saving and printing of documents
- Use the ruler, indent markers, hanging indents, tabs, columns, paragraph alignment and line spacing
- Improve your editing skills using the ‘find’, ‘go to’ and ‘replace’ commands, and the spelling and grammar checking facility
- Improve your content by inserting and moving text, cutting, copying and pasting, and finding that perfect word in the Thesaurus
- Ensure a professional-looking document by formatting your text and using extra features such as headers, footers, the auto-correct facility and auto-text
- Experiment with fonts and character styles, alter character spacing, understand sub-scripting, super-scripting and how to insert symbols

- Our trainers are experts in their topic and deliver courses in a practical, interactive style
- The maximum number of people on a training course is 12 so that the trainer can accommodate the learning needs of each delegate
- Each delegate is provided with a laptop and we use the most up to date technology
- A two course buffet lunch and unlimited tea and coffee are included in the price

Courses start at 9.30am and end at 4.30pm with half an hour for lunch

Elaine has more than twenty years of experience delivering Microsoft training for a wide variety of businesses. She is experienced in training people at all levels and has worked in the private and public sector. Elaine encourages interaction in her training courses and has a practical, supportive delivery style.
Support available
If your business is located in the West of Scotland you may be eligible for a grant of up to 50% of the cost of participating in these courses. There are a number of places available which are reserved for businesses with less than 250 employees and companies must meet certain eligibility criteria.
